Review: Transformers Dark of the Moon

Okay. after so many months waiting for the release of the movie, Transformers 3: Dark of the Moon, it has finally arrived and I was then, very much excited on watching it. But although I would have liked to watch it on the day of its premier, but due to my commitments to certain tasks, I had to settle for the 2nd day of its release. Oh well, at least I watched, didn't I?

And plus, the tickets were free! So hey, no biggie then! :)

I won't be touching on any spoilers here, just giving you a fair, neutral review about the movie. It started off well - it always is, isn't it? Something you waited for so long, the opening always seem so welcoming.

But honestly, I feel the early part of the movie was dragged a little bit too long to watch - where the focus was about telling the audience (me included) what happened to the characters after the 2nd movie ended last time.

Shia(Sam witwicky) heroic roles in the first and second movies were not really "certified" in a way and he had to settle for a normal dude living in his own normal life. Bumblebee was busy with his missions to locate more decepticons around the world and Sam was left out from this - as said by one of the characters in the movie, he is not a soldier. So, not fitting to be part of the whole thing.

As we are well aware, Megan Fox is not included in this third installment due to her "feud" with the Director, Michael Bay and so, we were introduced with a new character replacing Fox. She is stunning, hot (well, what to expect off a Victoria's Secret model eh?) and did good playing her parts. But after watching Fox acted in the previous two movies, I couldn't hide my disappointment at not seeing her in the third movie though.

On the other hand, we were introduced to a more darker side of the Transformers in this movie, such as the introduction of Shockwave and shockwave is pretty cool by the way.

But it must be said as well, that the movie is dragged too much in the early part and later in the movie, it became so fast, as if we're watching it in fast-forward mode. But Director Michael Bay compensated it with explosions, awesome fight scenes but that said, it lack stories still.

It's a very good movie, still but it's not that much different compare to the second. And sometimes a little bit too illogical. For example, the United States with its military capabilities didn't really fight off the aliens in full force but instead, resigned to only watch in despair?

But on the brighter note, Shia LaBeaouf played his character well once again. He has indeed proven his worth by portraying the character of Sam again in this movie and it's a bit like watching Harry Potter in the Order of the Phoenix movie where Sam was denied the right to be involved after all he has done before. It's a bit frustrating, so in the movie, that feeling was shared.

Overall, I'd give it B+ and out of 10, I'll give it 7/10. It's a joy to watch, it's fun and money worth it definitely. But it could have been better and I honestly think the second installment fared better than the third.

If you have your own views/ reviews regarding this movie or in somewhat disagree with what I've written, kindly jot down yours in the comment section!

Anyway, if you haven't watch it, watch it today! :)
