"My name is Chantal Lesley, I'm 22 and an SPW fan from Brownsville, Texas. I first heard of Semi Precious Weapons back in 2008 when I saw their video for "Her Hair is on Fire" on Perezhilton's website.
Right after watching that video, I was hooked and started doing my research on them. I fell in love.

When I found out they were touring with Lady Gaga I was ecstatic and took a cut out of Justin's face that I saw on their website to the Monsterball in June (2010). I was the only person in the crowd (maybe the arena for all I know) who had the cut out so when Justin first came out he instantly blew a kiss at me. Later on during their set, he threw their CD at me but it was ripped out of my hands, so instead he gave me his face cut out prop he uses on stage. After the show I went to get it signed and the boys recognized me and gave me another CD and signed it.

SPW inspire me because of their amazing energy, love for performing, their hard work ethic, and their love for rock n roll. At the Monsterball, my sister and I were starving, thirsty, tired but the second they got on stage it all went away because of the incredible energy we were able to feed off of. I decided to paint Justin's face shortly after experiencing their set using acrylics, and it was the first non-abstract painting I had ever done.

In September they announced that they were coming back to Houston, Texas so I knew I had to see them. I forced my boyfriend to go with me and drove six hours to see them and spent pretty much all but $12 in my checking account. I intended to either give Justin my painting or get it signed by them, but two hours into my trip I realized I had forgotten it :( I was still able to show Justin after their show because I had luckily taken a photo on my phone, so he kissed me on the cheek. (aw, shucks :D)

Weeks after the show, Justin actually posted a video I had recorded of my boyfriend and I kissing at the end of 'Look at Me'. Which I'm still in shock of!

@WonderwallMSN the tour w/ GaGa is BEYOND amazing. To be on the road w/ the biggest popstar in the world who is also a genius is magic. the most memorable moment is just getting to walk out on stage every night and play to her insane fab fans.
  
@preciousweapons U’ve done wild stuff onstage: topless girls making out, pourin champy on the crowd…What’s the craziest antic u’ve pulled?
 
@WonderwallMSN well girls getting on stage making out, had nothing to do w/ a plan. They just do that sometimes! Ha. When I change my whole outfit, even heels, on stage in front of 10,000 people…thats the craziest. Or when we get violent.:)

@preciousweapons Just wondering…Who taught you how to walk in those bad ass heels?

@preciousweapons Hot! We heard you were almost murdered in Las Vegas. True story?
 
@WonderwallMSN well,we tend to be dramatic…but we were for sure almost beat down. But I diverted the violence w/ glamour (and making out)

@WonderwallMSN While on tour we are so fucking busy there isn’t really time for shopping. But I’m REALLY into LaQuan Smith and Knehans.

@preciousweapons Well, you still look fly! Tell us about your cameo in the “Telephone” video. Did you meet Beyonce? What was she like?

@WonderwallMSN Being on set for the Telephone video was pretty life changing. Honored. Beyonce is a sweetheart.

@preciousweapons You were on “Made” as a rock star mentor. Can people learn to be rock stars, or are they born with that quality?
 
@WonderwallMSN I think people can truly be whatever they want. I know this sounds ridic…but I willed myself pretty. Ha! I really believe that hard work, filthy glamour, a big fat smile, and talent can get you anywhere.
  
@preciousweapons Love it! One of your lyrics is “I can’t pay my rent but I’m f’ing gorgeous.” Where’s the 1st place u go after getting paid?
  
@WonderwallMSN i have literally put every penny I’ve made into music. Recording, flights, outfits, champagne, whiskey, and instruments.

@preciousweapons How about that jewelry line of yours! Tell us about it. What are your biggest design inspirations?
 
@WonderwallMSN http://www.thefetty.com started as band merch and blew up from there! My inspiration is my insane girl friends in NYC.

@preciousweapons You’ve also referred to Sharon Stone as one of your style inspirations. What’s your favorite SS look?
 
@WonderwallMSN Sharon Stone’s best style moment is obvs early 90’s! Basic Instinct forever! Peach brow bone, nude tones…everything! ok…one more question…I have to fly to Melbourne now:)

 Justin and Cole met with music editor and journalist Jordana Borensztajn of Nova FM for an interview, one that covered Pictionary, Lady Gaga, and yours truly: Semi Precious World! Can we just say first off, thank you SO much to Jordana for using two of our questions.  It really means a lot to us that you did that.  For those of you that don't know, Jordana tweeted that she was going to interview our boys and wanted to see if any fans had questions they'd like to ask, so naturally Jawsh and I wanted to make sure they were aware how much we love them.  And also, if any of the personal youtube songs were going to be on the album.  Jawsh and I seriously listen to those songs on the daily, so that was a pretty big deal to us.

Uncensoredinterview.com sat down with Justin to talk about what inspires his “sass”

“Whos broke and tours with Lady GaGa? Semi-Precious Weapons. I cant pay my rent but Im fucking gorgeous sings lead singer Justin Tranter. But with a new album out this spring and tour dates with the perpetually pants-less Lady GaGa (as part of her worldwide Monster Ball Tour), the glam-rock band may soon be able to afford things far more fabulous than rent.

Uncensored Interview sat down with the spotlight-grabbing front man back in 2008, and its no surprise the band has come so far in less than two years. Catchy guitar riffs combined with his flashy onstage antics have garnered comparisons to AC/DC, Queen and David Bowie. Rolling Stone suggested Tranter is like Adam Ant, T.Rexs Marc Bolan and Ziggy Stardust wrapped into one, singing lead on AC/DCs Back In Black.

Formed in New York City in 2004, the band released a new EP January 19 that includes three songs from their upcoming full-length, You Love You. The tracks were produced by Joseph Puig (Green Day, Beck) and executive produced by tourmate Lady GaGa. (We bet there were some fashion tips exchanged in those studio sessions, too).

And if you're wondering where Tranter gets all that sass, he borrows it from talented rock stars who have proven themselves worthy of admiration, in addition to tabloid trash who havent done much of anything.”
