The World is coming to an end [and we survived!]

Have you come across (in your respective places, anywhere you may be on this earth) and someone would come out with a prediction that the world will come to an end (and some more, coming up with the specific date and time), have you ever come across such cases?

Well, have you guys ever heard of the man called, Harold Camping? If you don't know him, google! Click here. (I'm making it easy for you guys, hoho... )

Anyway, back to the story. So, he predicted of the return of Jesus Christ and the end of the world as we know it. He predicted,

His 2011 end times prediction was that on May 21, 2011 Jesus Christ would return to Earth, the righteous would fly up to heaven, and that there would follow five months of fire, brimstone and plagues on Earth, with millions of people dying each day, culminating on October 21, 2011 with the end of the world. He had previously predicted judgement days on May 21, 1988, and September 6, 1994. - Wikipedia
Interesting enough, May 21st of this year came and passed. October 21? Same result.
Well, this is not the first man to have ever come up with predictions such as that. There are many others that seem to predict the end of our time.

To begin with, does the Mayan and the Mayan calendar ring a bell? The history and backgrounds of the Mayans reached a new height after the released of the movie, 2o12. In the movie, everything comes to an end and mankind has to start all over again after that - after a global destruction as mother earth strikes back.

the Mayans' temple

"Both the Hopis and Mayans recognize that we are approaching the end of a World Age... In both cases, however, the Hopi and Mayan elders do not prophesy that everything will come to an end. Rather, this is a time of transition from one World Age into another.

The message they give concerns our making a choice of how we enter the future ahead. Our moving through with either resistance or acceptance will determine whether the transition will happen with cataclysmic changes or gradual peace and tranquility.

The same theme can be found reflected in the prophecies of many other Native American visionaries from Black Elk to Sun Bear."

— Joseph Robert Jochmans

So, if you guys want to read more about them, click here. =)
But the Mayans and Mr. Harold Camping here are some of the predictors. Many before came before and between them.

Take a look at this website. It provides us with a very good summary of these predictors. Click.

In any case, if it is the end of the world, I believe (and this is just my honest opinion) that God would not warn beforehand. It can happen anytime and we would not even know about it.

And I have been living with my Muslim friends and based on my observation, the Muslims also believe in the end of the world - called kiamat and there are signs showing that we are coming to an end.

the end of the world

Well, anyway in the mean time, whether you're religious or you're agnostic or you're an atheist, just live well and wishing you guys all the best of luck! =D

But just a quick question, if you ever know TODAY is your last day, what would you with your last remaining hours? What would you do?

Happy Christmas!
& of course,
Happy New Year everybody!

North Korea - who exactly are you?

North Korea.

Often been said as the terrorist country. It's where evil stays. It's where the leaders neglect their people. But is it true though?
Well, one that got me thinking was that during the funeral of Kim Jong Il, the pictures that were posted all over the internet shows a rather, different story. (Isn't there a phrase that goes, pictures tell a thousand meanings?)

I suppose if a leader that supposedly have ruled the nation with iron-grip style for 14 years, not a single soul would come there to the funeral?

So, are these guys faking their sorrow or are they sincere tears?

doesn't seem like it though.

or perhaps,
they were ordered to come to the funeral and cry?

As tens of thousands packed into Kim Il-sung Square in the North Korean capital of Pyongyang, one image from Japanese news agency Kyodo shows a funeral cortege led by a limousine carrying the departed 69-year-old dictator.

but one thing that cannot go amiss, children are crying too? hmm, there's something fishy going on here lads. and we are not informed about it.

what do you think?
maybe.just maybe these are tears of joy!
