Review: Veer
Verdict: eh, ok
"K" Rating: 1.5 / 5
Watch: DVD
Salmaan Khan is the only reason one should see this film as he is looking fit, fabulous and ferocious! Veer is set in British India, where the brave warrior tribesman "Pindaris" have been duped out of their land by an evil king and the British. Its a love story of a warrior born to avenge the king.
The cinematography is excellent however cannot make up for the weak storyline. The movie wavers between soft, romantic scenes to violence far too quickly. Debutant Zarine Khan has little scope in the film apart from smiling or crying in the scenes, also one cannot overlook her striking resemblance to Katrina Kaif. Jackie Shroff as the evil king, Mithun Chakarborty as the powerful sardar of the Pindaris, Sohail Khan as the comedian suit very well. The director should have stuck to making a gladiator like out an out action movie or a romantic epic, mixing the two has not done well for the film.

Music of Veer is a definate buy as most all the songs have a distinct feel and sound to them. "Surili Ankhiyon wale" and "Saalam Aaya" are already hit.
