Aishwarya Rai weight issue, baby and Cannes 2012

Aishwarya Rai weight issue seems to have perplexed the whole nation. Meanwhile she and her baby are touring Europe after red-carpet show at Cannes 2012

Aishwarya Rai and her seven month old daughter Aaradhya are making headlines across the world. For more than two weeks since her appearance at Cannes 2012, she has been hogging the limelight. And to be true there is no Aishwarya film set to be released anytime soon.

Aishwarya has hogged the limelight this whole month for her weight if nothing else. Almost every Indian newspaper including Indian Express and Hindustan Times carried Aishwarya Rai’s photos looking very fat. The weight was visible from her face too. Even her double chin was visible from far away and people were rightly shocked.

But putting on weight is nothing unusual for a mother who has delivered a child a few months ago. In traditional Indian families, a pregnant woman is not allowed to do any work. And this ultimately leads to putting on more and more weight. Ash too seems to be no exception, at least in this regard.

Meanwhile many Bollywood starlets are coming out in the open to support Ash on her weight issue following pregnancy. The latest to jump to her defense is Kajol who has come out very strongly after child birth. While talking about Aishwarya Rai, she says, “It’s stupid to have this conversation. Everyone has the right to their lives and to look the way they want to…Tomorrow I can put on 25 kilos… it’s my choice, my body! She’s (Aishwarya) at home, taking care of her baby. As long as it doesn’t affect her work, I don’t understand why it should be under discussion.”

Following these reports of Aishwarya putting on weight when it was said that she would appear at Cannes and walk the red-carpet, there was sort of unbelief. She walked the carpet at Cannes this year as always for L’Oreal and the company. But everyone was amazed when Ash finally appeared at the Cannes. Kilos of extra weight that was visible on her body and face was nowhere to be seen. She was wearing a body hugging jacket over an Indian sari and looked fabulous.

Right now she is enjoying the summer in Europe with her seven months old daughter. But she has ensured so far that no photographer is able to come close to her daughter and snap her photos.

Genelia Pregnant

Tinsel towns across India are now worried about the look of particular heroine. They now fear that even recently married hottie Genelia too will scare them soon in that way. Check out the story.

Aishwarya Rai, the tempting seductress of Indian screen is no more an hour glass figure and mind blowing damsel. Her fatso look post pregnancy is getting rapid attention across social-circles, worrying her fans. Now that rumors are wide spread that Genelia too wants the experience of motherhood very soon, her fans are worried. One can imagine how cute girl Genny looks if bulged all over like a balloon.

However, there is no need to panic about and one can pull a leaf from Sonali Bendre’s book regarding this ‘fat’. After delivering a child, Sonali went as chubby as possible and took her time to render her to look like an Ajanta statue. Let’s hope Aish will follow this first and Genelia will implement it if at all she gets those buxom proportions.

Shah Rukh banned from Wankhede for 5 years

The Mumbai Cricket Association (MCA) Friday slapped a five-year ban on actor Shah Rukh Khan from entering the Wankhede Stadium over his alleged misbehaviour at the ground Wednesday night.
Khan, co-owner of Indian Premier League (IPL) team Kolkata Knight Riders (KKR), had allegedly misbehaved with security personnel and MCA officials Wednesday night.
"The managing committee of MCA condemns the behaviour of Shah Rukh Khan. After his fight at the stadium Wednesday night, the actor has shown no regrets for his action and behaviour. In fact, he justified his actions. The managing committee is forced to ban Mr Shah Rukh Khan from the entering Wankhede Stadium," Deshmukh said after an emergency meeting of the MCA here.
He said nobody could support such behaviour, be it the Board of Control for Cricket in India (BCCI), the Indian Premier League (IPL) or the MCA.
"Our decision to ban Shah Rukh Khan was unanimous. There was a proposal of lifetime ban, but we want to send a message that this is not how one should behave," Deshmukh, the union minister for science and technology, said.
"This is a message for everyone. Anyone who misbehaves or breaks any rules shall face a similar ban," he added.
"We have already written to BCCI and have apprised them of the situation and the decision that might follow. We don't expect
anybody to pressurise us to change our decision," he said.
Asked why no committee was set up to probe the incident, Deshmukh said that majority of members were present during the brawl and they were all witness to the incident.
"As most committee members were present during the brawl, they were all witness to the entire episode and hence there was no need to set up a committee to investigate the incident," he said.
According to the resolution passed by MCA after an hour-long meeting, Khan will not be able to enter Wankhede Stadium for five years "neither as a team owner not as a member of the audience".
Replying to allegations by the actor that his daughter was manhandled by MCA officials, Deshmukh said: "We have not received any complaint from Shah Rukh Khan yet. He is unapologetic and justified his actions."
"We will also genuinely look into the matter if Shah Rukh lodges a complaint regarding the same," he added.
"We have informed BCCI about the ban, but since this property belongs to MCA, we have decided on the ban," he added.
Deshmukh said a complaint has been registered in Mumbaia's Marine Drive Police Station by the MCA officials and that the police is investigating the matter.
On Thursday, Deshmukh had termed the event as grave and said a decision will be taken on the ban after going through the entire sequence of events.
Stating that the security personnel and officials from the MCA were equally rude, Khan had maintained that he will not apologise for his Wednesday night behaviour.
Khan allegedly misbehaved and pushed the security guard at the stadium and also abused officials of MCA when they tried to intervene late Wednesday night.

Sunny Leone was shy shooting lovemaking scene: Mahesh Bhatt

All that glitters is not gold and all porn stars are not bold, says the inimitable Mahesh Bhatt while revealing that Sunny Leone was shy and uncomfortable while filming the lovemaking scenes with Randeep Hooda in her Bollywood debut "Jism 2".
"I always knew that she is a very shy person. Just because she is a porn star doesn't mean that she has lost her feminine quality of being shy. During the lovemaking scene with Randeep she was finding it very difficult to do it comfortably," Bhatt, who is producing the film, told IANS over phone from Sri Lanka, where "Jism 2" is being shot.
" 'Jo nazar aata hai wo hota nahin hai'. All that glitters is not gold, all soldiers are not brave, all holy men are not holy and all porn stars are not bold. At times reality is different," added the filmmaker.
The Indo-Canadian adult star of Punjabi origin was finalised for the role by Bhatt during her stint in the reality show "Bigg Boss 5".
"Jism 2" is a sequel to 2003 film "Jism", in which Bipasha Basu's steamy scenes became the talk of the town.
Pooja Bhatt, who had produced the original, is directing part two.
Sunny surprised the entire crew with her shy behaviour.
"Everyone was surprised with her shyness, but I understood that it will be difficult for her. It's not easy to shoot a lovemaking scene; it is a very demanding thing. Those who believed that it would be a cakewalk for her will be shocked by this revelation," said Bhatt, who has also written the script of the film.
"Jism 2" will see Sunny as seductress Izna. The love triangle also features Arunoday Singh.
Randeep, who shot lovemaking scenes with Mahie Gill in "Sahib Biwi Aur Gangster", was equally uncomfortable while shooting the scenes.
"Even for Randeep it became very challenging although he has shot similar scenes before. One has to understand that it's not a fighting scene," Bhatt said.
Named by Maxim as one of the 12 top porn stars in 2010, Sunny, whose real name is Karen Malhotra, recently, celebrated her 31st birthday in Sri lanka.
Bhatt said Sunny wants to move on from being just a porn star and is looking forward to establishing herself as a part of tinsel town.
"Sunny is concerned how she will be perceived by the world as an actress because everybody knows her just as an adult star. She wants to be known for something more than that," he added.
Sunny's career seems to have taken off here. Apart from "Jism 2", she has also bagged a role in a sequel to "Ragini MMS". She has also endorsed a phone and a condom brand.

Department (Hindi Movie)

Film: "Department"; Cast: Amitabh Bachchan, Sanjay Dutt, Rana Daggubati, Abhimanyu Singh and Madhu Shalini; Director: Ram Gopal Varma; Rating: ***
Shoot at sight. Point blank. In different ways that's exactly what Ram Gopal Varma (RGV) and his characters do in "Department".
While his cop heroes Sanjay Dutt, Rana Daggubati and their hazily sketched compatriots (one of whom looks like Deepak Tijori) go on a cleansing rampage against socio-paths, RGV goes on his own trip, shooting characters at angles you've never seen them being shot. They don't always look fetching with their stained teeth and dirty nails showing up in embarrassing close-ups. So, who said life in cinema is about postcard pictures?
Welcome to RGV's world of muck and mayhem.
The one definite thing that must be said about RGV is that his exploration of the nexus between the law and the underworld is ceaselessly seeking new modes of storytelling.
"Department" is one breathless surge of aggression and violence. Shot with cameras that capture the actors at their quirkiest and most candid, the film is not for those who think cinema is all about style. RGV left his stylish days behind in "Rangeela" and "Company".
Repeatedly and mercilessly RGV dismantles all conventions of pretty storytelling and aims for the jugular. The camera angles are often much too casual to be considered 'cinematic'. But breaking rules is a given in RGV's cinema. He breaks them in "Department" in a noisy rush of agitated images that go well with the edgy fidgety characters.
Not all the characters work. Vijay Raaz as a whiny dhoti-clad gangster and debutant Madhu Malini as a tartish sharp-shooter are a scream. The talented Abhimanyu Singh has a tough time trying to maintain an equilibrium between the two unintentionally comical evil doers. The dialogues these gangsters exchange try so hard to be real they end up being howlers. It's like eavesdropping on a conversation between two pathologists.
The camera, manned by no official Director Of Photography (and it shows), goes through the character's legs, into their nostrils, over their armpits…in this film about cops who do their own thing.
"Department" is a brutal film. There's no room here for emotions. Even when Sanjay Dutt playing a senior cop goes home his wife, played by Laxmi Manchu, speaking in a strangely loud tone, he talks to her in unsentimental tones. There's more feeling in the two cops, Sanjay and Rana's buddy-buddy talk, in the line of duty.
There's a long history in cinema of cops striking a rapport on the beat. Sanjay and Rana are no Danny Glover and Mel Gibson. But then this is no "Lethal Weapon".
The action here is a strange mix of street aggression and stylized stunts. While scenes of Rana chasing goons through claustrophobic crowded areas of Mumbai are vintage Varma, the climactic fist-to-fist between Rana and Sanjay proves a battle of unequal titans. One of the two actors being just too agile for the other.
What grabs your attention in this oft-told tale of the cops resorting to extra-constitutional means to 'cleanse' the city is the frenetic pacing. The characters are constantly on the move.
Even Amitabh Bachchan, while taking sardonic jibes at a 'system' that is corroded, is seen restlessly circling Sanjay or Rana, depending on which of the two the wily wizened politicians is provoked into action.
Not surprisingly Amitabh's netagiri provides the liveliest interludes in the proceedings. He seems to behaving the most fun even when saddled with dialogues that must have sounded far funnier on paper than they do in their delivery. Among the rest of the cast, Rana with his restrained ruggedness stands tall.
What "Department" delivers is yet another RGV product that takes Hindi cinema's crime genre away from conventional storytelling. There are no punctuations except exclamation marks, no speed-breakers except songs, which are terribly screechy and grating with Nathalia Kaur's item number hitting rock-bottom, and no way out for these restless law-enforcers than to take the law in their own hands.
The world of "Department" is anarchic, destructive and apocalyptic. The narrative format imposed on the world of gangsterism is freewheeling almost chaotic. Violence and death are written into the DNA of the characters.
"Department" tells a virile story with no patience for sappy humbug. It's not meant for those who think lovers laughing their way into death, as they did in "Ishaqzaade", are the last words in ruinous relationships. In "Department", the characters share a far more intimate bonding with their guns than with their friends.

Parineeti Chopra wants to do a "Fashion" remake

If there's any Priyanka Chopra-starrer that her cousin Parineeti would like to feature in if it is remade, it has to be "Fashion", says the latter, riding high on the success of "Ishaqzaade".
"If any of Priyanka's film is being remade, then I would like to do 'Fashion'. It is my favourite film of my didi's. (Otherwise) I have no dream roles, I just want to do better films," Parineeti said here.
The 23-year-old, who made her debut with "Ladies Vs Ricky Bahl", says she is not here to compete with Priyanka, who won a National award for her performance in "Fashion".
"I am foolish if I try to compete with her. She is 10 years ahead of me. I am not mad, and neither am I interested in overtaking her. She is a wonderful actress. I can only learn from her," she said.
Parineeti says after the success of "Ishaqzaade", she is getting a lot of offers outside of the Yash Raj Films (YRF) banner too.
"I am getting lot of offers outside YRF as well but I have not signed anything. I am saying this with all my honesty I have not signed anything.
"Very soon I will sign some film because I am curious to know what is going to be my next," she added.
When Parineeti associated with YRF for her debut, she thought she would feature alongside superstar Shah Rukh Khan. But her debut happened to be opposite Ranveer Singh.
"I was illiterate about it. When I entered Yash Raj Films, I thought my first film would be with Shah Rukh, second with Aamir (Khan) and all. But I was wrong," Parineeti said.

To be a celebrity, be strong: Bipasha

Actress Bipasha Basu has been part of the fashion and the film industries for almost a decade and she has never feared experimenting. However, she admits being a celebrity doesn't come easy and one needs to be mentally strong to handle criticism.
As a celebrity, Bipasha's style has always attracted attention, and she has managed to stay in the good books of the fashion police. But whenever she has been criticised, she has taken it with a smile.
"It's human. What you wear is not what everyone is going to like. As long as you are confident looking like that, I think it's fine. Being a celebrity, you are definitely going to be under the scanner. So, this you should know from day one that if you want to be a celeb, then get ready for it. You have to be brave," said Bipasha.
The 33-year-old, last seen in "Jodi Breakers", will next be seen in Vikram Bhatt's horror flick "Raaz 3D", a sequel to 2009 film "Raaz". She says it is going to be a really scary film.
"It's a scary, crazy film. Also, it's a horror genre, so it is going to be extremely scary and it's human drama. There is going to be a lot of love story, there is going to be a lot of lust and it's horror as I said," she added.
