Guitar Asylum TV Isn't Just About Metal

Our television show has a cool name, Guitar Asylum TV, but many think it's metal show. It's not just metal, but blues, country, jazz, rock, even covers the bases for bass players.

Guitar Asylum TV isn't a webisode, but a bonafide real television program headquartered in Houston, TX on a 1 million watt digital channel - Houston's Channel 55. Having it on air is very important to us and we will stream all the shows online through every online video outlet available. This is not only great for our fans and viewers, but also for our sponsors who desire to reach out to you and let you know about their products, services and keep in tune with the guitar industry.

Our host, Rusty Cooley is world renowned for his incredible talent as one of the top all-time shredders. But many don't know that Rusty is very well versed in music theory and can play any style of music at the drop of a hat. Rusty is known for one very important fact, he doesn't play six string, but expands the knowledge of guitar playing by performing with his signature Dean Rusty Cooley RC7 7-string guitar. And also he plays the 8-string guitar with the same incredible speed.

On Guitar Asylum TV, Rusty will take you straight to the techniques that will help you become even better at playing guitar. He will interview guests on the show that we admire and find out about their own style and technique! Need to know about the newest in guitar gear? We'll have that too as well as guitar tech talk to help you understand more about that instrument in your hand.

Bass players, don't worry we haven't left you out! We'll be covering bass playing from time to time, we have too, because Madison Bond, the contributing editor to the Guitar Asylum TV website is a bass player (Peavey Custom Shop Cirrus Bass and a Gibson Explorer Guitar).

So there your have it, a short explanation that Guitar Asylum TV is all about guitar in every facet/genre of music.

Pick it, shred it, finger it or tap it. Guitar Asylum TV will cover it!
