Nursing Soldiers Come Under Fire

A photo of two military mothers nursing their babies while in unbuttoned airman battle uniforms has created quite a stir on the Internet.

Air Force Sgt. Terran Echegoyen McCabe and Staff Sgt. Christina Luna - both in active service - agreed to be photographed in support of Breastfeeding Awareness Month for the Mom2Mom Breastfeeding Support Group.

“I’m proud to be wearing a uniform while breastfeeding,” McCabe told the Today Show. “I’m proud of the photo and I hope it encourages other women to know they can breastfeed whether they’re active duty, guard or civilian.”

But apparently, the women violated a policy that forbids military members from using the uniform to further a cause, promote a product or imply an endorsement, said Capt. Keith Kosik, spokesman for the Washington National Guard.

Crystal Scott, founder of Mom2Mom, was shocked that the photos have caused such controversy.

“A lot of people are saying it’s a disgrace to the uniform,” she said. “They’re comparing it to urinating and defecating [while in uniform].”

Sony Mix will launch as a pure music channel even as MTV and Channel [V] have repositioned as youth channels with non-music content forming an important element of the mix to widen the audience base and attract a larger pool of advertisers. The back-to-back music format has found success in ratings but opening up a strong revenue stream has been a constant struggle.

Motorola Dinara Gingerbread Smartphone Come With 13MP Camera

There is a rumor about the Motorola Android superphone that lighter and thinner than the Motorola Bionic. It is dubbed the Motorola Dinara and runs Android 2.3 Gingerbread OS.

The Dinara smartphone will bring an HD touchscreen display (probably with 1280 x 720 pixels), a TI processor, and 1GB of RAM. New Motorola Dinara Android smartphone packs a 13 megapixel camera, a front-facing VGA camera, and a non-removable battery. Reportedly, Motorola Dinara has a lock button on the side.

New Maserati Quattroporte GT S

Maserati has recently revealed 2009 Quattroporte facelift. The new car is the Maserati Quattroporte Sport GT S, and it is set to make its world debut next month at the Detroit Auto Show. For the facelifted Quattroporte and Quattroporte S make do with a 400hp (298kW) 4.2L V8 and a 430hp (320kW) 4.7L V8 respectively, the new Sport GT S produces 440hp (328kW). The small power bump is courtesy of a high-flow exhaust system, which comes with an adjustable valve to keep the engine muffled around town and let loose once in the open country.

Maserati has upgrade a set of lowered suspension, stiffer springs, and new shock absorbers for the car as well. The Quattroporte’s ZF six-speed automatic transmission remains, however, in the Sport GT S the paddle-shift operated ‘box receives new management software that allows for quicker gearshifts.

Interior, the car’s usual wood panels are replaced with carbon-fiber pieces, while the seats are covered in a mix of leather and Alcantara. Some minor changes done for the exterior, which are blacked-out headlight surrounds and a darkened grille.

New compact model by GM Holden

GM Holden will build an all-new small car in Australia alongside the country’s best-selling Commodorerange. The second carline will start in the third quarter of 2010 with support from the Federal and South Australian Governments. The car will be based on the Opel Astra & Chevy Cruze. The front-wheel drive model will be offered with an array of 4-cylinder direct injected petrol and diesel engines while Holden said that it is also considering a range of alternative fuel or fuel saving technologies including E85, LPG, CNG and start-stop hybrid capability. Further information/detail of the car and the retail price will be released later.
