See you in court

This week was quite a ride for me.
I don't know how to start, but remember I told you I was moving a few post ago? Click here if you're unsure.
So anyway, the agent called me yesterday the landlord was planning to inform her lawyer for the "damages" at home.

OK, I admit. I'm not the perfect tenant. But for the doors that were broken since the first day we came into the house and yes, we left lots of our things that we didn't need to bring with us. So, it's pretty messy.

But to bring the matter to court just for that small matter?
To a fresh graduate who barely has any money to pay the amount the landlord requested?

I told the agent that if you want to take me to court, take lah. Do I care?
And he even charged me for the cleaning people.
Like I said, I'm not the perfect tenant but that's what deposits are for.

But I asked around, and almost everyone told me, chill lah. Nothing to be afraid of. If they want to saman, samanlah!

But I'd like to ask,
what should I do?
Then again, the case is too small, too insignificant to even bother myself with.

EURO 2012 is nigh

It's cliche' and maybe loads have been written on the subject.
But justice must be given to the event. EURO 2012.
So, are you guys watching?

I definitely am. As long as...

A.  England plays.

B.  Rooney plays.

I cannot possibly more simple minded than this, but here I am, proving once more, really am a simple minded dude.

What team are you guys supporting and why?
As for me, why England?
Because I'm so used to watching English Premier League.

The 7 Must Have Items

My friend was off to Barcelona for holiday. And she's a very light traveler. Often, she doesn't bring much with her whenever she's off meeting the world.

I remember a time, when I was off to Europe with my friends and I saw each of them was carrying at least two bags. (minimum).

source

One of my friends who was flying with me spotted my luggage.
"Dude, seriously, is that it? Damn, you're very light!"

I think that's...er...a compliment?
What about you guys? What are the must-have items and accessories in your luggage that you must have with you whenever you're traveling?

If it's me,
A.  A camera
B.  A pack of cigarette
C.  Slipper
D.  Towel.
E.  Perfume
F.  Deodorant
G.  Tooth brush

Simple. As for the clothes, at least a spare. But I don't fret much.
What about you guys? Since it's the holiday season, might as well share!

The 5 Naughty Acts

I cannot help myself. Sometimes, it is too irresistible that some things just have to be done!
So, I'm sharing with you today the 5 naughty things I do when I just feel like it.

A.  Pretend to not having enough coins.

Well, I usually do this with the female toll collectors. Did you guys know there are lots of beautiful toll collector? So sometimes my friends and I would act as if we didn't have enough coins, thus gave us time to talk to her.

B.  The Ghost in the room.

Take the white bed sheet, a little everything-white make up on the face and put on a wig. Hide in the room, waiting for the housemate to come home. And watch the comedy takes place.

C.  Prank call.

Call some of my friends using land-line phones and do a gotcha call on them. Some turned out very funny, some made them very angry. Either way, lots of fun!

D.  The eggs in the shoes

During birthdays. Well, it's a special day for the birthday boy. Instead of flour, put in the eggs in their shoes and see the magic happen.

E.  The Alarm Clock

Attending a best friend's wedding. My friends and I usually give alarm clock and set them for ringing during the "active period". And wait for the call from my friend, scolding us.

Well, sometimes these are some of the things we love to do. Not often, but just for the fun of doing them. No harm done, no extreme acts. Just lots of laugh.

Are you willing to share some of the naughty things you did to your friends? (ekekekee....)

Online Dating

I can be really confident when it comes to debate, public speaking, business, computer. But if there's one thing I'm really bad with, it's women. a.k.a. finding the love.

One of the advises that was given to me sounded like this,
be proactive with organizations. meet people. and just be yourself.

That was 5 years ago.
Somehow, the song sung by Backstreet Boys, Show Me the Meaning of Being Lonely just clicks for me.
Or even if I found somebody that fits my liking, more often than not, she's taken.

So, who's to say I didn't try, at least try, internet dating.

And since I'm not really convinced with the effectiveness of finding a partner through dating sites, I only pursued the free sites.

Have any of you here tried internet dating?
Some have spoken highly of the method. Most just threw it away as ridiculous. I tried to be open-minded with the concept and I though, what's the harm in trying?

But on certain occasions, I've noticed there are lots of stalkers, which made the whole thing a turn off.
What do you guys think of internet dating
Do you think I should give it another go?

P.S.
Been on and off with my relationships thus far, so I thought "just do it". Nike still is, relevant to this date.

And this really helped. Dating Tips for Guys

Money for the Wedding

I told you before, I've attended a friend's wedding last weekend held in Taiping, Perak. which was a marvelous trip. Truly.

It was a very fantastic event. The foods were delicious and the host was very welcoming towards my friends and I.

So, the thing that I'd like to talk about today is something related to weddings.

While last week I've attended a wedding over there in the north, the end of this month, I'll be attending another friend's wedding held in Malacca.

And by end of August, there will be another, in Johor. Early next year, another one in Kota Kinabalu, Sabah.

source

I've asked several of my friends, how much does it cost to "get married"
I've asked the guys, of course. Because the impression we boys have out here, the guys bear every cost involved.

So they estimated around RM 30k - 50,000. For a fresh graduate, a minimum of 3 years would really be a realistic time-frame to acquire such amount of money.

However, with lots of my friends got married last year as well as a few more this year, I'd just like to ask - where on earth did they manage to get the money?

Because from the answers I've received, lots of their girlfriends asked.
The girl:  When are we getting married?
The boy: Do you want to eat sand after we're married?
The girl: No.
The boy: So, please wait. You should know my answer.

source
And from what I heard, the wedding cakes are not that cheap either.
Any perspective on this? I'm just curious. Where the money comes from?
(unless of course you're already well-off with your career.)

You're not paying attention, Mr. Boyfriend!

When we're in love, and by this I mean, still early in our relationship, everything seems so simple and relaxing. That's the easy part, huh?

via
But the moment when the storms have started to knock on the door more frequently, there will be times when:

A.  On the phone, I am not given enough time to justify and clarify what's happening and she's already off the phone. What the - ?

B.  When I ask her what's wrong? She said everything is fine. Everything is okay. But when I thought everything is okay, she starts mumbling about how I'm being insensitive. Seriously? I mean, seriously?

Anyway, I just thought I want to share some frustrations here.
For the guys, have you had experiences like these? Or worse?

Have an awesome Friday people!

Between Grade A and Grade D

"If you're going to commit yourself to the service-industry,make sure you do it right and do it well. Never take your customers for granted"
And I was once told of this.

I've been disappointed with some companies lately who take their customers for granted. Hate it when they do that.
But in the spirit of learning, I don't want to make a big fuss of things. However, hopefully anyone who reads this, try and read the advice above through and through.

How frustrating it may sound, how confusing it may be, just hold on there.
Have you encountered a totally Grade-D service company? Mind sharing?
Have an awesome day!

Baby, we need to talk.

Have you ever been in a position where you have to be break bad news to someone and you'd feel all squirmy and the most uncomfortable feeling in the world - this is always nerve-wracking!

How do you guys handle these situations? How do you break the news to them?
Especially when the people you have to break the news to is your girlfriend.
That's really scary.

"Baby, we need to talk.."
"Talk about what?" (Eyes getting bigger)
Might as well book my bed in the hospital after that.

The Stupid Things

As a part time book writer, those times when I could actually steal for writing are precious. When I worked on a project, ideas are really hard to come by. But when I don't feel like doing it, those ideas gushed in.

Well, even when it's not book writing, for everything else that requires my creative-head to just do something, a task that I need to complete, if I were to just sit in front of the laptop I cannot seem to get anywhere.

doing crazy things can really help to relax the mind!

So, finally I've decided the best way is for me to do something totally unrelated. Like dancing, sitting upside down on the couch, kiss the wall, talk to myself in the mirror - you know, something I don't normally do in front of other people.

Anyway, just to share, my aunt just got married last week. She did some photography session beforehand. She said she wanted to be traditional. It was really cool.

Anyway, happy Thursday and hope it was an awesome day for all of you out there!

Woman Shower versus Man Shower

A topic for today might be a little bit too weird. But I've just got to ask!
I am burning with curiosity that what needs to be asked, is asked.
Why do girls have their shower and taking too long doing it?

original & original
I was going out with someone today and she's a female friend of mine. And I was waiting for her to finish with her shower for an hour - literally!

So I want to know why. What could possibly be taking so long in the bathroom?
It happened before with my sister. And it's happening now.
It's haunting me...

Awkward Sex Scene

Have you ever been in the room with your parents watching a movie on the tele, and then the hot, steamy scene comes along? How awkward it was?

Or, when there's a family gathering and you're watching a movie with the children. And then there are your uncles and aunts, grand papa and mama, everyone there.

Unsure whether to keep on fixing the eyes on the tele -
or
Take out the cellphone and try to look busy.

Of course, can just switch the channel.
But too often, I don't want to be the one that make the move. It's just weird and awkward! seriously!

I don't mind much on the kissing part. That's too common these days.
But when it comes to the bed-scene. Now that's a whole different story. Like I said, weird and awkward! Because I still feel awkward watching this kind of thing around my parents and the nephews and nieces.

Have you been in the situation?
the worst part,if you're not in your home but a stranger in the living hall with your friend's family.you literally cannot say or do anything!

The Ghost in the Bedroom

I've always and I mean, always hated Horror Movies. I know, after watching the movies, I'll never be able to get decent sleeps and too often, weeks of sleepless nights - but of course, depending upon the kind of horror movies I've watched.

So far, the movies that are coming from Thailand and Japanese still hold top spots. Hollywood horror movies on the other hand, there are too many computer generated effects that it will turn me off.

Do you guys remember the movie, Ju-On? Now this is the one movie that kept me sleeping with lights on in the bed room for a few months! I'm not joking and I suppose I'm man enough to tell the truth about it.

But eventually, as I grow older, I got over it and things became much better for me with lights off.
What are your favourite horror movies? And what's your story after that?

Honey, we need to break up.

Please take note: theoretically.

How do one break the news,
"Honey. I think this is the end for the both of us. I'm breaking up with you"
How do you say such horrible thing to someone that you used to love?

via
Well, it's pretty straight-forward, isn't it?
You break the news, you might get a slap (if you're a dude) and that's it.
But break-ups were never meant to be that smooth.

There's still the after-effect, isn't it?
So, can someone tell me how to do it properly?
There's no point continuing the relationship if both parties feel stuck. It's for the best.

The Frozen Smiles

Everytime I go on a visit to somebody's home, I always look forward to their framed photos. It's so awesome and  so lovely!

Memories, stored in the frames. And Everytime you look at it, can't stop smiling
via
I remember we used to buy Kodak for our cameras, and have them printed. But these days, printed pictures are rare and we only have them stored digitally. Which is, less fun.

I miss those good old days. And looking at the photo albums, I really miss that.
Do you guys still print your pictures these days?

Monday Reflection

Have you ever had an idea that you thought of, confident that it can become the next BIG thing but failed to work on it? It's not really about the idea actually. If Mark Zuck. shared the idea of Facebook with you before he created Facebook, would you have done the same way that he did?Action is the key word.

via
And so you've decided to act.
Some people will laugh at you. Some will criticize. Some will pat you on your back and say, "good luck".
But at the end of the day, it's all about you. It starts with you, it ends with you.

Are you inspired already?
Have an awesome Monday everyone!

Zombie Attacks!

OK, for this time and this time only, I hope we can play a little bit with your power of imagination.
Now Imagine, you are alone at home. They are zombie outside, looking for fresh victims. Earlier that day, the news were hot with news on zombie attacks in your city.

I always fill my moments of boredom with these kind of thoughts. It's fun.
If it was me, I'll grab the backpack, fill with some foods and take the knife and cooking pan for self-defense. And locate the nearest police station.
Or is it too simple?

Have you thought of yours? Mind sharing?

Forgive me, please.

Every once in awhile, we tend to commit things that we never meant to. And it hurt their feelings. A sudden burst of anger, or irritated, distracted. In that few short spaces of time, we were angry. Yes?
via

So, after we've come to terms with what has happened, we felt stupid and a pang of guilt starts to overcome us.And this is where the drama comes in.

"I'm sorry."
Let me share you how I begged for forgiveness from one of my closest friends:
I cooked for her. And wrote a card.
You know how girls are being over sensitive sometimes? So yes, it was hard + expensive.

But I had achieved what I set out to do. I'm forgiven!
How about you? What did you do? Can you share a little bit?

The Beautiful Life

The thing I am looking forward to most whenever chasing the heels of the world, is to discover the diversity that exist among us. We can't expect everyone to be the same when it comes to belief and culture, so the sooner we are able to grasp that, the sooner it will be for each and everyone of us to appreciate this beautiful life.

via
My few years here have brought me closer to understanding the Malays, Chinese and Indians' customs and cultures. And that's why, I am always a firm believer in understanding is the first step to acceptance. Without which, we would never be able to accept the diversity that exist in this world.

But my dream is to see more through my eyes, other parts of the world and to experience their way of living, foods and local customs.

Respect starts by respecting others. If the other side can't offer it first, let ourselves be the ice-breaker.Can you do that?

The Little Things

We've watched romantic movies and drama on the tele, with awesome surprises, off to expensive restaurants or lots of flowers everyday. You get the pictures right? To show how much one loves a person.

via

But actually it's those little things that matter more and most. Just by sending a text message of how much you miss her, or him, help those you care about to wash the dishes, listen when they need someone to hear them out, you know, those little things.

What are the little things that you have done for your loved ones?
