See you in court

This week was quite a ride for me.
I don't know how to start, but remember I told you I was moving a few post ago? Click here if you're unsure.
So anyway, the agent called me yesterday the landlord was planning to inform her lawyer for the "damages" at home.

OK, I admit. I'm not the perfect tenant. But for the doors that were broken since the first day we came into the house and yes, we left lots of our things that we didn't need to bring with us. So, it's pretty messy.

But to bring the matter to court just for that small matter?
To a fresh graduate who barely has any money to pay the amount the landlord requested?

I told the agent that if you want to take me to court, take lah. Do I care?
And he even charged me for the cleaning people.
Like I said, I'm not the perfect tenant but that's what deposits are for.

But I asked around, and almost everyone told me, chill lah. Nothing to be afraid of. If they want to saman, samanlah!

But I'd like to ask,
what should I do?
Then again, the case is too small, too insignificant to even bother myself with.

Classic Taiping

So I was Taiping, Perak recently. I was invited to a friend's wedding, thus my friends and I took the opportunity to go for a road trip!

As I've never been to Taiping before, it was quite exciting for me personally. And forgive me, there's no picture of the wedding in this post. I figure, I'll use it for another.

But we did go to the Museum and a few other attractions available over there. I love the way of life that I observed - so relaxing and can I just say, therapeutic

And as the place was not big, so we had the time we needed to drive around the small town. I even had my haircut there for just RM 5.00!

Whoa!

And I like the picture of this school. The architecture of the building in general, reminds me a lot of the building structures in St. Petersburg, Russia.

Notice the similarities?

Anyway,

Somehow, my short trip to Taiping has got me thinking seriously about moving out of the city. Maybe in a few years time. But I know where I want to raise my kids later, not in the big cities.

And this is too delicious to describe! Love it!
Well, have an awesome Monday darlings!

How are you, darling?

So, what have you been up to ladies and gents? Have you done anything awesome lately? Well, if you haven't, get your butt of the chairs in front of your desktop and start the awesome things at work already!

Have you ever been the comforter of someone before?
Exactly how did you structure your greetings to them, so that they could at least feel better?
Sometimes, I feel it is a very difficult thing to do especially with some close comrades who may have lost somebody they love.

The choice of words, the expression on the face - that's something that can make all the differences, see?
Picked from the movie, Evan Almighty, ARK - "Act of Random Kindness"
Somehow, it hit me hard deep inside.

It might feel very little or insignificant to us, but the thing is, it might just affect them so much more on the long run. Someday, they might just remember what we have said, what we have done...for them

We can be their crying shoulders, the very thing they need at that moment in their lives.
Like what I've written in my previous post, the best thing in life is not the most expensive thing but the things that we have with us...at this point in life.

And when we're of old ages, we might not regret about the things that might have been but grateful for the very thing we have done for someone's life before.
Have an awesome Sunday, love!

Counting the countless Blessings

We crave for the things our hearts desire most. Sometimes, our thoughts would jump to the expensive things in life that has the best ability to make us feel happy.

But come to think of it, it's not always true. The happiest people in the world are those who feel grateful with what they have and feel blessed for having them in their lives.

Yes, we cannot control the things that are going to happen in our lives. You and me. Them. But darlings, the very thing that we have in control over at the moment are the things we currently have with us, not the things we are going to have.

We may have "heart attacks" every now and then. We couldn't control our anger at what God has thrown at us. We start to point fingers and play the blaming game.

If we can start counting our countless blessings, we would realize how lucky we are actually.
This year, I:

A.   was fired from my job but got my acts together again eventually and managed to get life going all over
       again.
B.   failed relationship with a special lady I thought would be the one
C.  And many other countless things that I can feel bitter just by thinking about it.

But...
If I start to open my eyes to the blessing that has been showered upon me...
Have a super AWESOME weekend, my love!

Beaten by the Ribs

I love eating and I can eat a lot. Especially on occasion where it's a buffet, my oh my, my wild objective would be to finish at least 5 plates just so I the trip is worth it.

I can proudly say, I have never been beaten by the Foods before.
What I took, I finished.

But, apparently there's a Challenger...

I went to Tony Roma's with a friend for dinner. I've never been here before, so this is my 1st time.
Lots of my friends told me this place offers super delicious ribs. I must say, I'm convinced.

I planned 10. 10 RIBS!
But half-way battling, I started to get dizzy. Oh my, the cholesterol in these, killing me.
I stopped at 5. I couldn't handle it anymore after that.

I am...defeated.
But I am planning to challenge Tony Roma's again before I'm going back to Sarawak for the holiday season this end of the month.

We'll meet again, Tony.
I'll be back!

Awkward Sex Scene

Have you ever been in the room with your parents watching a movie on the tele, and then the hot, steamy scene comes along? How awkward it was?

Or, when there's a family gathering and you're watching a movie with the children. And then there are your uncles and aunts, grand papa and mama, everyone there.

Unsure whether to keep on fixing the eyes on the tele -
or
Take out the cellphone and try to look busy.

Of course, can just switch the channel.
But too often, I don't want to be the one that make the move. It's just weird and awkward! seriously!

I don't mind much on the kissing part. That's too common these days.
But when it comes to the bed-scene. Now that's a whole different story. Like I said, weird and awkward! Because I still feel awkward watching this kind of thing around my parents and the nephews and nieces.

Have you been in the situation?
the worst part,if you're not in your home but a stranger in the living hall with your friend's family.you literally cannot say or do anything!

Reunion

The saying goes like this,  friendships are like flowers. When we don't give them water, they will die.
Well, how true is that? I know, it sounds corny. But hey, there's truth in the sentence!

I'm with the biggest smile! hoho

Anyway, my friends and I, we have made an oath among ourselves, that at least:

For now, make it once a month for a gathering.
Later, make it at least, once a year.

Just to meet up and chit-chat. Don't ever lose the connection. Because we should never lose it. Ever.
What about you guys? Especially those who have left school after so many years, how often do you still meet up?

Be Crazy! Let yourself go and let go of the pressure!

We are constantly pressured by our surroundings. By our peers who may have achieved things in life, faster than us. Who may have climbed the ladders of life more efficiently than us.

But don't take it as a reason for not living you own unique life!
Do something crazy. Scream on top of a hill. Do something that your heart tells you. Or even do something like the picture above - just be crazy for once!

At the end of the day, we are competing against our inner-selves.
What do you crave(want) for most in life? Care to share?

My dignity, My treasure.

Everyone has a certain level of self-esteem in them. So, whenever you feel like advising or criticizing someone (and you have good intentions for doing it), do it in private, not in front of their friends, your friends or strangers.

Take them somewhere private and let it be a private conversation between the both of you. They'll be grateful that you don't scratch their dignity in front of other people.

I believe in that. And something I have always tried doing over and over again.

The Thursday Gift

What my dad always tell me,

"Life is hard. Life is cruel. But if you keep the people closest to you at heart and remember that you're not alone in facing this world, you will never be alone anymore. "

via

The same message my dad told me before, now I'm telling you.
I visited a few blogs today that told their readers that they are facing something very hard in their respective lives.

Take this advice and keep it with you. That's my gift for you today.
Have a wonderful Thursday, my dear friends.

What's the message you still keep with you from the people you love?

You Among the Stars

Everyone is searching for something in life. Understandable, everyone has a desire to be fulfilled. To be among the millions and billions of stars in the sky, it's quite hard to get yourself noticed, isn't it?

Whether you're fighting for the attention of your employer, your crush or your future-in-law. It's always a battle for the spotlights.

via

And sometimes, when we've failed, we'd blame Life.

" Life has treated us unfairly."

But it's always safe to say that Life as we know it, is not random and He does not play dice with our lives. It's not random.

So, it's okay if we've failed in the past but don't blame others for your position in life. Make the best of what we have and we'll be okay.

What about you?
What kind of spotlight are you fighting for? Your parents? Your friends? Your boss?

Interesting Awesome People (IAP)

Meet Maurice Cole. Read about him.

Everyone has a story of their own. The people sleeping on the streets in the city, the cleaners in your office, the teachers you once hate, the quiet boy in your classroom.

And all of us have something to tell, every now and then. It is our nature to share, but what's hard is for an audience to listen.

Take a moment of your day and hear a story from somebody. God's works at work. This is the fact of life.
All the best!

What's the most interesting story you've heard from somebody? Even better - a stranger!

The Coffee Shop Affair

via
In the coffee shops, we have:

the business people talking about multilevel marketing.
the politicians wannabe talking about politics.
the desperate housewives talking about their husbands' affairs
the macho husbands talking about their special nights.
the young couples discussing their future

and sometimes, a blogger who blog.

But what interest me most, old school coffee shops make the best drinks in the town!

Kedai Kopi Pak Abu
Kafe Zun Seng Fatt
Kedai Mamak Hijaz
Kedai Raju and Rama

Wait, this is Malaysia. Where we become somebody else the moment we walk into these shops.
What kind of topics do you often hear in the coffee shops?

Learning from the Wise Man

via
We can learn a lot from the seniors. Don't cast them aside as irrelevant because they can teach us so much about life that we thought we knew so well.

Human being...become wiser as they grow older.

One of the most memorable lessons I have learned from my grandfather is about becoming the imperfect daddy who tries to be perfect.Yeah, my grandfather wants me to get married so he can see his grandchild. Haha. Not happening any time soon, grand. Hang on! Love you!

What's your memorable lesson then, guys?

the 10 Inspirations

As we are growing up, we'll come across people who just cannot fail to inspire us. Whether they are your favourite singer, teacher or even your own father, there are two things clear here:

A. you want to be like them
B. you model your life after them.

So, I'm going to share the 10 people who have been my source of inspiration in life. And at the end of this, won't you share yours as well?

10.  POLITICS -  ANWAR IBRAHIM

Image Via
We  come across all kinds of politicians these days. Some are very good at taking advantage of their situations while some seem unable to cope against the pressure. But I have been following Anwar's political career since 2008, when he struck the blow against the then Prime Minister of Malaysia, Tun Dr. Mahathir.

Even in the midst of all the scandals, slanders, loses and victories, he stood firm on the ground and continue his fight for justice for the people of Malaysia.

9.  CAPITALISM - DONALD TRUMP

Image Via

His no-filter statements and very egoistic nature have attracted me to follow Trump's business journey and even forked out a few hundred bucks to get books, either written by him or for him or about him. From success to bankruptcy and back again to success, he braved against the odds and championed capitalism over and over again.

As a true believer in Capitalism myself, I couldn't find anyone better to follow the footsteps other than Trump.

8.  WRITING - Joanne Kathleen Rowling

Image Via

Ever since I watched the first Harry Potter movie, Harry Potter and the Sorcerer's Stone, back in 2001, I have been the hardcore follower of the Potter World. Ask me anything and I'll be able to answer them right away, which book to refer to and what page. Now, that's how seriously in love I am with her works.

And I am learning my English by reading her books too. For each book in the collection, put it roughly, I've read an average a 100 times over. Talk about obsession.

7.  SOCIAL ENTREPRENEUR - Muhammad Yunus

Image Via

6.  PUBLIC SPEAKING - PRESIDENT BARACK OBAMA

Image Via

To speak in front of an audience with authority, humor and with your own style are three things I am learning at the moment. It's very hard. I faltered at times but I tried different ways to cope with it.

But everytime I watch this man speaks, you've got to admit - he might not be the greatest President of the United States but he sure is the greatest speaker of all the presidents and prime ministers today.

5.  MUSIC - MICHAEL BUBLE
Image Via

"Home" "Everything" "Fly Me to the Moon" "Hollywood", all of his songs are my favourite!
The way he sings them, says them and if we are watching him live, the way he dominates the stage - he is the best in the business!

And weird enough, I can relate my life to each song in Michael Buble's tracklist.

4.  ACTING - Tom Hanks

Image via

I have given this particular spot to Tom Hanks. I've thought long and hard, who who deserves it? I have many others in my mind, such as Leonardo diCaprio and Ian McKellen, to name a few, but in the end, I settled for Hanks for his witty acting.

The way he presents himself in his movies, you cannot help but able to put yourself in his shoes in those movies perfectly. His works - the Terminal, Catch me if you can, cast away - ladies and gents there are no better actor to be made as the role model, I suppose.

3.  ENTREPRENEURIAL -WARREN BUFFETT

Image via

2.  FOOTBALL - Wayne Rooney

Image Via
The British Footballer has been my main reason for supporting Manchester United after the departure of David Beckham, what in 2003?2004?

The way he plays his games and how he push himself in his plays, you cannot miss the burning desire he has in himself when he plays.

At times when I am down, watching Wayne Rooney playing for Manchester United has always been a great source of inspiration! And I'm not saying that just because I love Manchester United.

and

1.   PARENTHOOD - SIR ALEX FERGUSON

Image Via

When I'm referring to parenthood, it's not really that literal. I'm just calling it parenthood because of the way he has successfully developed and nurtured young players in his club for more than 20 years. Most players, if not all, who have been interviewed why they love playing for the club is because of this man. He arrive very early in the morning before training and get back home in time for family time. The examples he set for his players are excellent and his work rate, any young player who's growing is very fortunate to be playing under him.

That's why, he is main source of inspiration.

Well, why don't you share with me what's yours instead?
I would love to hear your side of the story!
Share them in the comment section below.

Be well.

10 things you must try before you reach 60

WHAT ARE THEY, YOU ASK?

Why 60 ? Well, because I'm trying to suggest you things that are best enjoyed before you turn 60. You need a strong heart and move around a lot, you know? I'm not saying you can't enjoy if you're in your 70, but I'm just suggesting.

For example, one of them is kissing a celebrity. Who knows what would happen after that? The bodyguards punch you on the face - so, it's best to get the punch when you're still young, see? #LOL

1. Swimming with the sharks

Image via

At the mention of sharks, the image of these sharks having us for dinner just couldn't escape us, right? Well, according to "experts", sharks are often misunderstood. Actually there are not violent, you know? But hey, the experts said that - not me.

2. Paragliding

Image via

To feel the air going past your face, ahh man, you'll never feel old again!
I've always wanted to try this out - but still unable to due to lack of financial means. But before 60, must give it a go! And I want to do it among the mountains like the picture above.

Have you guys ever tried this stunt? Tell me about it, please!

3. Spend a night in the Amazon forest

Image via

Amazon forest - where leopards, anaconda and many other legendary animals, insects live - yeah, so why don't we spend a night in the amazon forest? I'm not really a forest-type of man, but heck, if I have enough experienced people to accompany me with, I might give it a go, you know?

And a shotgun is my must-bring item. Sorry for being so pessimistic.

4. Underwater museum in Mexico

Image via

This underwater museum is so freakin' cool! I was thinking this would be a very cool place for honeymoon, you know? You'll see all these awesome statues and beautiful fishes swimming around you.

Must go!

5. North Korea!

Image via Washington Post

We've heard of North Korea a lot of times on the news, don't we? And the way the tabloids tell 'em makes the place so scary and to avoid it at all times. But is it though?

So, before 60, we should at least visit the country once. At least, once.

6. Space tourist

Image via

Well, when I was small, I have always wanted to be an astronaut. But I know it's too late for me now, realistically speaking.

But fret not, there's still one opportunity for me to do that - through Virgin Atlantic!
The only problem is, it is going to be freakin' expensive! But matters not, when there's a will, there's a way!
Come on guys, let's go to the space!

7. Kiss a celebrity on the lips

I know this one is a little bit weird, but life will be more exciting if we list stupid but fun things on our to-do-list!

Take your pick and plan well - how do we do it? Good luck!

Think about it, by the time you're 60, the celebrity you are planning to kiss is already an old woman! So, they should feel lucky instead that someone is still willing to kiss them. #LOL

Image via
I wonder how Scarlett would look like 40 years from now...hmm...

8. Scuba diving in the Great Barrier Reef

Image via
ahhh...the Great Barrier Reef. It's so awesome. The pictures that I've seen across the internet are amazingly beautiful! It is the world's largest coral reef system!

You guys should put this on the list before you hit 60! I know I am. Cannot miss this opportunity to be with mother nature. :)

9. Spend a week with you and your wife on an island

Image via

I always like to imagine I'm stuck on an island with a woman. I know, weird, huh? Well, to make it legit, so that's why I put there with your wife, people!

Just for a week. A week! It would be awesome. Have to make our own shelters, find our own foods and with the blue ocean surrounding the two of you, that would be so cool!

Image via
And this little idea is inspired by the movie Cast Away where Tom Hanks was struggling to survive on the island, but after many years surviving alone, became expert. Totally love that movie! A+!

and

10. sing in front of thousands of people

Image via

It would be fun to wrap up your awesome years just before you turn 60. It doesn't matter whether you have sexy voice like Michael Buble' or high-pitch like Mariah Carey or so bad no one can stand them - just sing!

The embarrassment only last for a few hours, but it stays in your head until the day you die. :)

Anyway, that's all for me this time. I hope you enjoy reading the 10 things you must try before you reach 60!

What else can I say, but good luck and be well, ladies and gents!

[R-P] How to start your day like a ROCKSTAR

HOW TO START YOUR DAY LIKE A ROCKSTAR

I believe in beginnings and endings. Of course I believe in the middle bit too, but I believe the way you begin something and the way you end something can say a lot about what you fill the inside with. One day I will talk to you about endings and the middle parts, but today, I am going to talk about beginnings.
I believe the beginning of anything is important. The beginnings always set the tone for what is to follow. I believe in the first day of the new year. I believe in making the first words you speak to a loved one positive. I believe that how you approach an contentious topic with your partner reveals a lot about how you will walk away from it when the argument has simmered. I believe in the first day of school and first dates.
How do you begin your day? Do you stumble out of bed and stumble into your life? Do you wake up and feel the impending sense of whether it’s going to be a “good day” or a “bad day” before your feet have even hit the floor?
How you spend the first half an hour of consciousness after you wake up to your brand new day, really sets the energy for how the rest of your day will flow. Start your day off right.
Whether you are a self proclaimed “morning person” or not, joyful morning routines are as important as a joyful day.
When you wake up, wake up.

1. Don’t rush

Give yourself time to open up. Don’t lose your mornings by rushing through them. Wake up earlier if you have to. Even 15 minutes earlier can make a difference. 30 minutes can make a bigger difference and so on and so forth.
Sometimes it’s nice to wake up before anybody else. It gives you a little pocket of time for yourself. It’s nice to start the day on your own terms.

2. Take the time to do something you enjoy doing in the morning

Just something. For some it may be a morning jog, journaling, your yoga practice, painting, preparing an exquisitely delicious breakfast, reading the paper, doing a crossword puzzle, reading or just taking some extra time to get ready (picking a nice outfit, doing your hair and make up – and “men stuff” for men because I don’t know what ya’ll do).
I personally love my morning coffee time. Ahhh, I love it. Warm coffee on a cool winter morning, and gentle conversation with my roommate. I always resented having to rush my morning coffee time, before I decided to make my morning routine a priority.
Whatever it is for you, do it! It doesn’t have to take long, maybe even just 15-30 minutes, but enjoy the slowness, the gentleness, and the freshness of being completely present.

3. Set an intention for the day

Every day is different, bringing us a wide array of different priorities and focuses. Some days are “work” days but some days are not. Be flexible. We may have to work from Monday to Friday but that does not necessarily mean that the focus of every monday to friday must be a “work” day. We have different kinds of “work” to work on as well.
When you wake up, and go through your morning routine, take the time to set your intention for the day. What kind of day do you want to have today? A fun day? A relaxed day? A productive day? A cleaning day? A loving day? A happy day? A sociable day? A “Me” day?
Today I am going to have FUN.
Today I am going to be super productive.
Today I am going to connect with lots of people.
Today I am going to treat myself and relax completely.
Set your intention.

4. Meditate

Morning meditations is where the party is at. Take a moment (or a few moments) to quiet your mind and meditate. Meditation helps clear your mind and open you up for your day. In the mornings you open you chakras, leaving you spiritually grounded and open to whatever you may face in your day. In the evenings you meditate to cleanse and close your chakras, which prepares you for a restful and healing night sleep.
Simply sit comfortably and beautifully. Close your eyes. Count down from 100 to 0. And then experience the quietness and stillness. I love to do stillness meditations in the morning, because my mind isn’t yet fully awake, and so it becomes easier to dismiss thoughts. Imagine a beautiful white light inside of you, warming you up, and surrounding you, opening and protecting you simultaneously.
Set your intentions during your meditation – that you will have a good day. That today, you are loved. That today, is the beginning of something great.

5. Review your 3 most important tasks of the day

As part of your night-time routine, it’s a good idea to write down your three biggest priorities or “to-do’s” for tomorrow. What are the three most important things that you need to get done tomorrow? Completing this the night before, allows to wake up to your day stress free. You don’t have to wake up feeling unsure of what is in store today, because you will already know. You know what you have to do. It’s all organized and planned already. All you have to do is review it. Look at your list.
You then must try to make it your priority to complete these three tasks as fast as you can. If they can be the first three things you do after you wake up, do it! If not, schedule them – but make sure they are done.
I like to keep my morning routines more flexible but productive, because that is the kind of energy I feel during my time in the mornings. My evening routines tend to be more rigorous (but more about that another time!).
Of course there are many other productive and joyful things you can do in the morning, but I didn’t want to go into too much detail, and instead let you create a routine for yourself. Let these 5 points be the backbone to your morning routine. Fill it with something fun, peaceful and productive – but don’t for get the fundamentals.
Remember to start your day consciously. That doesn’t necessarily mean that every day is going to be a great day, but it does mean that you will always put yourself in the best position to make the most out of whatever comes your way.
Have a great day!
