Review: My Name is KHAN

Verdict: Great!worth Time and Money
"K" Rating: 4/5
"SRK" Rating:
 5/5
Watch: Theater/DVD
This is called "Cinema! a strong storyline, fantastic performance and a social message for its viewers- My Name is KHAN(MNIK) has it all. This is not the C(K)andy floss cinema that Karan Johar is known for, he should be given qudos for making a stunning film which has a love story in its core and a delicate yet strong subject of religion as its backdrop. MNIK is not about terrorism nor about 9/11 rather the butterfly effect of these incidents. Its about a man's word to his wife, his love for her which sets him on a journey across America. He brings with him a message which starts a tidal wave of change in attitude towards Islam.

Barring some scenes which seem to be high on the drama quotient,MNIK is spectacular and very moving.Arm yourself with a box of tissue for this tear jerker! The screenplay is so well written that audience connects with Rizvan and gets intertwined in his and Mandira's life just few scenes into the movie.Kajol and Shahrukh together deliver the emotionally charged roles perfectly, infact it is the career best performance for Shahrukh Khan.Jimmy Shergill, Sonia Jihan, Arjun Mathur and Zarina Wahab have befitted thier roles beautifully. Not sure what Navneet Nishan is doing in the movie as her character looks out of place.

"Sajda", "Tere Naina" are already chart favorites, find yourself walking out of the theater humming "Noor-e-Khuda"! Despite its rough release in Mumbai due to the political row, this movie is bound to be a money churner for Fox & Karan Johar at the Box office worldwide.MNIK caters to the educated, multiplex and the NRI audeince, hence the movie is bound to do well in metros at home and overseas. Watch out for "My Name is KHAN" thats Khhaan from the epiglottis!
