Warid Change Their Brand Name,Logo With Airtel

The name and logo of Warid will be changed under the brand name of Airtel


Airtel company now start their business activity by acquisition the Warid company in Bangladesh.Airtel will be try to provide better service with their customer.Alrady Airtel create a brand image in the market of other country & try to make sure create this brand image in Bangladesh. 

The company made the announcement at its headquarters in the city on Wednesday.

"However, the company now wants to use the name only for its internal purposes," its chief executive Chris Tobit told a function organised on the occasion.

On Jan 12 this year, Bharti Airtel announced to buy a 70 percent stake of Warid Telecom in a deal worth about $1 billion.

The deal paved the way for Bharti to go for its second venture outside India. In 2009, the company had launched its mobile services in Sri Lanka on a state-of-the-art 3.5 G network.

Earlier, Warid Telecom was a fully-owned subsidiary of Dhabi Group, offering mobile services across 64 districts of Bangladesh with a total customer base of over 2.9 million.

Meanwhile, Bharti Airtel has gone on re-branding campaign for Airtel.

Airtel chairman and Managing director Sunil Bharti Mittal recently unveiled its new logo, designed by UK-based Brand Union.
Bharti Airtel is buying out Warid, the fourth largest mobile phone service company in Bangladesh, the country’s Daily Star newspaper reported. Bharti Airtel is the largest private mobile operator in India with subscribers. It also has operations in Sri Lanka.
