GATV Heading to MIPCOM in Cannes, France


HOUSTON – September 28, 2011 – Long before the popularity of video games such as Guitar Hero and Rock Band, a television program was being plotted to showcase the world’s best guitarists. Rusty Cooley’s Guitar Asylum TV is a television program for guitar players and the fans of some of the most famous guitar players from yesterday, today and the future! Rusty Cooley’s Guitar Asylum TV is the brainchild of Ward W. Bond, CEO of The Whitfield Media Group, whose film production background includes filming over 1,200 episodes of television programming in the last six years.

Rusty Cooley’s Guitar Asylum TV has been chosen by John McLean Media out of Seattle, WA to represent this one-of-a-kind television program at this year’s MIPCOM in Cannes, France next week for foreign television distribution.  Rusty Cooley’s Guitar Asylum TV incorporates guitarist interviews from many genres of music, rock, blues, country, progressive, funk and metal. Episodes includes Jeff Loomis, Gus G. of Ozzy Osbourne, Mark Tremonti and Myles Kennedy of Alter Bridge, John Petrucci of Dream Theater, Henry Garza of Los Lonely Boys, Eric Johnson, Peppino D’Agostino, Padge of Bullet For My Valentine are just a few names who have been featured in upcoming episodes, as well as many of your favorites.

Rusty Cooley not only sits down with fellow guitarists and trade licks with them, but he will take time to give the viewers a quick guitar lesson (available for download). And for all the gear-heads out there, guitar tech guru Mike Nedd will be talking guitar gear and tech tips bringing to the viewer top notch equipment from guitars, amps, pedals and more. Rusty Cooley’s Guitar Asylum TV will cover it. Special reporting features by Roxy Taylor and Sebastian Van Cooley will be providing stories about bass players, drummers, special interviews with lead singers and special interest stories pertaining to music and the concert scene.
