The Early Night Question: Wrong Start with the in-Laws

What can someone do if the meeting took off at the wrong start and the in-laws don't like you? I mean, they don't approve of you going out with their son/daughter. What can someone do to fix that?

I think this will be a very interesting topic to discuss, right?
