Jim Carrey to reprise his role from the movie "Bruce Almighty"

Actor Jim Carrey is reportedly set to star in "Bruce Almighty" sequel.

Contactmusic.com reports that Universal has asked Jarrad Paul and Andrew Mogel to write a script for the film which would see Carrey reprise his role from the 2003 movie where he played Bruce Nolan.

Carrey has previously spoken of his desire to feature in the sequel of the film, by saying "We're talking about maybe returning to some old characters that everyone has been asking about 'Bruce Almighty' and we're talking about maybe another 'Dumb and Dumber'."

However, it is unclear if Morgan Freeman will reprise his role as God and if Jennifer Aniston, who played Bruce's girlfriend Grace Connelly will return for the new film.
