Eega on 30 March
Producer D Suresh Babu has recently announced that Eega will be released on 30 March 2012. Director SS Rajamouli who is coming with the unique concept of a fly taking revenge on a human has also confirmed the same. Nani, Samanth and Sudeep play main leads. The shooting of climax is currently going on. The music is expected to be launched on February 2012.
Johhny Gaddar remake in Telugu
Hindi blockbuster thriller Johnny Gaddar is being remade in Telugu now in the direction of Lakshmikanth Chenna (Hyderabad Nawabs fame). Krishi Arimanda and Sai Kumar are playing the roles of Neil and Dharmender. Gracy Singh plays wife of Sai Kumar. Lekha Washington and Ruby Parihar play female leads. Deepak Baladev produces this movie on Kubera Cinemas banner. It's an official remake.

Story:
Srinu (Nikhil) is a happy go lucky guy. He falls in love with Meghana (Pooja Bose) and tries desperately to get a positive response from her. But Meghana’s father Durga (Suman) is in jail and his opponent Shankar (Sayaji Shinde) is after Meghana. Now how Srinu rescues her from Shankar and win her love forms rest of the story.
Analysis:
Veedu Theda is a routine fare in which the director tries to keep the audience entertained all the time. There is no freshness in the subject and the screenplay goes haywire. Only plus point is there are loads of comedians all over the film and they don’t let the film go down.
First half of the film is a bit lengthy and interval point is very predictable. Director deals the rest of the story in a comical way by introducing various comedians at various points in the film. MS Narayana does his ‘Dookudu’ mimic stunt yet again. This time he imitates Pawan Kalyan and Mahesh Babu in addition to Balakrishna and Rajinikanth.
However, the film ends on an abrupt note and there is nothing to carry home. Songs are pretty bad and there is no freshness in the film whatsoever. Mass audience might enjoy the film for its extra dose of comedy. All the comedians in the film ably shouldered it. If the director has come out with fresh scenes and has written fresh comedic lines, it should have ended up as a real commercial entertainer. Now it will only appeal to lower sections of audience and classes who look for healthy comedy may disown it completely.
Performances:
Nikhil tries to imitate Raviteja yet again, but failed to be as entertaining as his mentor. He should learn to act as he hardly emotes except putting faces. His dances and fights are good though. Pooja Bose doesn’t know to act. Ali, Raghubabu, Master Bharath and Venu Madhav are mildly entertaining and MS Narayana leads the pack. Suman and Sayaji Shinde are alright in their roles. Rest of the star cast did their bit.
Technicalities:
Music by Chakri is mediocre and none of the songs are hummable. Background score is loud. Dialogues by Chinni Krishna are Okay. Cinematography and Editing are not up to the mark.
Director Chinni Krishna, who worked as an associate under VV Vinayak tried to imitate his guru in making a commercial film. Like Vinayak he too tried to mix action and comedy but failed with the action part. He should have tried to do a wholesome comedy instead of mixing unnecessary action on a ‘weak’ hero like Nikhil. Production values are alright.
Final Word:
Veedu Theda banks on mass comedy and its fate at the box office depends on how mass audience lap up this film. Its low costs should help the film to recover its budget. If you expect something fresh out of this, then you are in for disappointment. If you don’t mind enjoying the same old formulaic film with routine comedy, then this is the right one for you.

Ram Charan is excited about engagement
Chiranjeevi’s son, star hero Ram Charan is getting engaged tomorrow with his longtime girlfriend Upasana. The actor is all excited about the engagement and he says he can’t believe that he is getting engaged in another 24 hours.
Ram Charan’s engagement ceremony is going to take place at Temple tree Farms, a resort near Appa circle, Hyderabad. This ceremony was actually planned at Domakonda fort in Nizamabad. But the venue is now shifted to the Temple Tree Farms, owned by Upasana’s grandfather C Pratap Reddy.

Bejawada certified 'A'
Naga Chaitanya-starrer Bejawada was viewed by the members of Censor Board on Nov. 29. It is learned that the film has been certified 'A'.
Set to hit the theaters on Dec. 1, the film is making news because of its premise and the names associated with it (read RGV). Vivek Krishna is the director. The film boasts of an ensemble cast.
Described by its hero as a film with a palpable RGV imprint, but nonetheless a movie that retains its originality, Bejawada is eagerly awaited. RGV himself has been quoted as saying that the film cannot be compared to his 1989 cult film, Shiva.
Expectations on the film are high, especially among the Akkineni fans, because RGV himself has vouched for the acting talent of Naga Chaitanyaand saying that his acting follows a different template in Bejawada.
Bezawada which features Naga Chaitanya and Amala Paul in the lead roles is ready for release tomorrow. The film has recently completed censor formalities and received an A certificate with minor cuts. Ram Gopal Varma is producing the film with Sai Korrapati on Shreya Productions banner. Vivek Krishna is the director.
According to our sources, the film is carrying Average to Above Average report in the industry circles. The film offers lots of violence and bloodshed. The character of Naga Chaitanya has no resemblances to his dad’s iconic movie Shiva, adds our source. The film revolves around two political gangs.
Naga Chaitanya has essayed a powerful role with ease. His character especially in the second half of the film is fantastic, adds our source. Vikram's film as Veedinthe in Telugu
Vikram has already made it clear. "I have taken audience on an emotional journey in Ravanan and Deiva Thirumagal. Now I would like to make my fans feel good with my 'gym boy' persona in Rajapattai, which is a powerful entertainer."Directed by Suseenthiran, Veedinthe is a much-touted entertainer, ready to hit the marquee on Dec. 16. "These days we read in newspapers on incidents of land grabbing and the police action on the wrong-doers. This is the basic knot of Veedinthe," the makers have revealed.
Produced by Prasad V Potluri of PVP Cinema, 'Rajapattai' has Deeksha Seth opposite the Chiyaan. For the first time, Yuvan Shankar Raja is composing music for a Vikram-starrer and the music composer is upbeat about it.
Vikram looks convincing in the role and he has made the persona of the gym boy his own. To further reach the audience in a more effective way, the actor has released a string of mobile apps across all platforms. He is the second actor in South India to do it, after our very own Mahesh Babu.
The film is titled as Rajapattai in Tamil. The film presents Vikram in many avatars. K Vishwanath is playing father to Vikram.
With the plot revolving around the ubiquitous criminal phenomenon of land encroachment, Veedinthe has come to be seen as a potential action film as well.
Among the other highlights, the film has Shriya Saran and Reema Sen in cameo roles.
