By the time Boyapati Srinu was directing ‘Simha’, Balakrishna already had a series of flops and was badly in need of a Hit. Some people even predicted that Balakrishna will never get a Hit again and his career is over. And while the shooting of ‘Simha’ was going on, even the film unit members were expecting that the film is going to be another flop. Even before post production, there were no expectations. But once the final copy is ready, the views were changed. How the shots looked while shooting and how the shots looked after post production is a complete contrast. Once the movie is released, the unit members were stunned to see the response the film got and finally the movie ended up as a blockbuster.
Similar situation is being observed at the sets of ‘Dammu’. NTR had a very disappointing last year and he needs a hit badly. Boyapati is directing NTR when he is desperate for a hit, and just like the situation of ‘Simha’, the expectations from the unit members are not very high. One of the unit members said that he is not really convinced with the way it has been developed till now. But he also said that he is the same person who earlier worked for ‘Simha’ and his expectation was similar for ‘Simha’. Maybe it is Boyapati’s style of filmmaking where even the unit members do not realize whether the movie is coming out good or bad.
