Post production work on the adaptation of the highly successful Aamir Khan film 3 Idiots is going ahead at a brisk pace. The Telugu version of the film, earlier titled 3 Rascals, has now been renamed as Snehithudu . The Tamil version is titled Nanban. The shooting of the film is complete and the producers are giving final touches to the project, directed by Shankar in Tamil. It will be dubbed in Telugu. The highly talented director normally keeps away from remakes but the astounding success and the contemporary element of the film, involving students and youngsters with education system as the backdrop may have enthused him to take up the project.
Snehithudu stars Vijay, Jiiva, Sriram and Ileana in lead roles. Harris Jayaraj has composed the music.Dil Raju has bought the distribution rights for AP from producers Gemini Film Circuit. The film is set for January 26 release. The film’s audio is likely to be released in the first week of January.

Seasoned director Gunasekar who has hit a lean patch is leaving no stone unturned to ensure that his upcoming film Nippu spins magic at the box office. The director, who gave blockbusters like Chudalani Undi and Okkadu, was put on the backfoot with duds like Sainikudu and Varudu. Gunasekar has roped in hotshot Ravi Teja and joined hands with director-turned-producer Y.V.S. Choudury. “Audience loves stars taking up daunting tasks and accomplishing the challenges.” says the director. He claims that a love story has been well blended into his action-centric entertainer.
