Ram Gopal Varma denies Madhu Shalini link-up

always something about Ram Gopal Varma's films. And, it is no different with his latest 'Department', which has a cast with names from the South and Bollywood. The lastest news is that Sanjay Dutt, who's co-producing this film, has asked for southern starlet Madhushalini to be dropped from an item number and replaced by a Brazilian model instead.
It has been reported that Sanjay didn't want the item number, which is being touted to be the most expensive one, to be picturised on a little-known southern actress. Hence, he asked the filmmaker get a Brazilian model.

On the other hand, Ram Gopal Varma denies the reports and says, 'These are all baseless rumours. Madhushalini is an artiste doing a very important character in my film. She doesn't feature in any item number. There is a situational song, with no dancers and sets.'

He also said: 'Sanju and Madhushalini feature in two separate tracks in the film. He (Sanjay Dutt) hasn't thrown her out of any item number in this film.'
He was also quick to play down talk about Madhushalini being his current muse. 'I'm frankly tired and bored of these link-ups. She’s just an actor in my film and there is nothing more to it.'
