DON2 Marks the beginning of a new era in Bollywood (Review)

I would like to consider movies before DON2 as films from a different era, an era where every movie requires an item song to pull the crowd, an era where stunt means villains flying to the electric post in numbers by a single blow of the Hero, an era where technical excellence meant showing poor computer graphics, an era where Bollywood movies were known as the song and dance routine among the audience outside India. With DON2 we are entering a new era, an era where a Bollywood movie will stand shoulder to shoulder with hollywood movies in every area.
Farhan Akhtar has opted the right title for the movie 'The King is Back', yes the King is back and he is back in style to  rightly claim his spot among the top. Shah Rukh Khan returns to more than compensate all his fans who were disappointed by his earlier movie Ra.One and this time you get to see him in his best avatar with a touch of grey. Shah Rukh has left back home his usual romantic antics and his usual acting style for DON2 which truly brings the best out of him. So If you were waiting to see something different from Shah Rukh you will be more than satisfied by his performance in the movie.
The true King of the movie is invisible in the movie because he has worked behind the movie, yes Farhan Akhtar the director who has never let down his fans has come up with a masterpiece which stands out from all his previous movies. It seems Farhan is constantly challenging himself to make his every creation better than the previous one. DON2 has its faults but its goodness overshadows them and you will be more than happy to forgive Farhan for the shortfalls.
Priyanka gets to play the gorgeous Interpol agent who can defeat the criminals by her looks and Farhan's shots further glorifies the beauty of this actress. Priyanka is a proven actress and her acting skills dosent need any backing from any reviewer. She has done an excellent job in the movie and aptly fits the role whether its acting skills or physical fitness needed to deliver the role.
There is no equal to Boman Irani, whether its the professor from 3 Idiots or the land grabber in "Khosla ka Khosla" he elevates his characters through his outstanding performance, its no different in DON2. He has managed to shed some weight and looks fit in the movie to suit his characters and delivers his 101% in both acting as well as action sequences.
Farhan Akhtar has given more importance to his characters in the movie and hence has avoided the mistake of trying to fit the characters to the actors rather he has chosen actors who fits the characters. Hence you will get to see a buch of talented actors in this movie who fits the characters well. Whethers its Kunal Kapoor as the computer Geek, Lara Dutta as Aysha, Nawab Shah as Jabbar or Om Puri as Malik, each of them delivers a measured performance which aptly fits their characters.
Songs has less importance in the movie as its a start to end action thriller. Hence no wonder why the music of the movie is not a big hit. Yeh Maaya track even though might not impress as a track while you hear it outside the movie, but aptly fits in the movie as a background score prior to the heist.  The movie is shot across the world from Thailand to Berlin and all the beautiful locales adds to the story line and delivers a wonderful viewing experience.
The movie stands out due to its technical excellence in every field. DON2 delivers the kind of action heist thriller which only used to come out of Hollywood, where while watching you always wished with a tint of envy if Bollywood could make such a movie with such executional excellence. The movie is a deadly combination of the larger than life storyline, drama and suspense of Bollywood with the excellence in execution of Hollywood. DON2 is an absolute must watch for all Bollywood fans. It has its minor imperfections but its goodness overshadows them.
