Dan Houser: GTA 5 Map and City will be ‘Very Big’

Dan Houser, VP of Rockstar games said in a recent interview with Game Informer that the new map for GTA 5 will be “very big”. We know the game will be taking place in “Los Santos” (Los Santos, popularized by its likeness to Los Angeles and by the epic game, GTA: San Andreas.

Here is the transcript of Houser’s interview with Game Informer:



Game Informer: You just released the GTA 5 trailer. Can you talk about that project in any respect? Obviously, it looks like it’s going back to San Andreas.

Dan Houser: I’ve got to be real careful here, or they will drag me through the office and whip me with barbwire. I will stick to exactly what’s in the press release. It’s Los Santos and the surrounding countryside – and a very big map.

It’s tough to say how large a scale GTA V will be taking “Los Santos”. We were only given a portion of Los Santos in the GTA San Andreas map. Which appeared to be an exact replica of Ice Cube’s, Friday set. So like all you LA natives out there, I’m just as excited as you to see how they depict our great city!
