Aishwarya Rai weight issue seems to have perplexed the whole nation. Meanwhile she and her baby are touring Europe after red-carpet show at Cannes 2012
Aishwarya Rai and her seven month old daughter Aaradhya are making headlines across the world. For more than two weeks since her appearance at Cannes 2012, she has been hogging the limelight. And to be true there is no Aishwarya film set to be released anytime soon.
Aishwarya has hogged the limelight this whole month for her weight if nothing else. Almost every Indian newspaper including Indian Express and Hindustan Times carried Aishwarya Rai’s photos looking very fat. The weight was visible from her face too. Even her double chin was visible from far away and people were rightly shocked.
But putting on weight is nothing unusual for a mother who has delivered a child a few months ago. In traditional Indian families, a pregnant woman is not allowed to do any work. And this ultimately leads to putting on more and more weight. Ash too seems to be no exception, at least in this regard.
Meanwhile many Bollywood starlets are coming out in the open to support Ash on her weight issue following pregnancy. The latest to jump to her defense is Kajol who has come out very strongly after child birth. While talking about Aishwarya Rai, she says, “It’s stupid to have this conversation. Everyone has the right to their lives and to look the way they want to…Tomorrow I can put on 25 kilos… it’s my choice, my body! She’s (Aishwarya) at home, taking care of her baby. As long as it doesn’t affect her work, I don’t understand why it should be under discussion.”
Following these reports of Aishwarya putting on weight when it was said that she would appear at Cannes and walk the red-carpet, there was sort of unbelief. She walked the carpet at Cannes this year as always for L’Oreal and the company. But everyone was amazed when Ash finally appeared at the Cannes. Kilos of extra weight that was visible on her body and face was nowhere to be seen. She was wearing a body hugging jacket over an Indian sari and looked fabulous.
Right now she is enjoying the summer in Europe with her seven months old daughter. But she has ensured so far that no photographer is able to come close to her daughter and snap her photos.
