No Phones, please!

Now that handphones are really cheap and affordable, especially by the middle-class in this country, almost everyone we see on the street owns a handphone.  Now with Apple successfully penetrated the mass market with Ipad, Iphone, children at the age of 5 or 6 already have them.

While this is a good thing, there must be a limit to the hours we spend using them.
And parents, please do your job.
And friends, please tell your other friends.

Back to basic. Implement the no-phone rule during dinner, per se.
Spend more time with real people.
Handphones should NOT be allowed during dinner and lunch.

Once, I saw a family at a restaurant- 6 members - while waiting for their foods to arrive, all were busy with their handphones and Ipad.

There was no conversation (minimal lah) which was and still is disappointing, come to think of it.
When the foods arrive, still the handphones in their hands.

I mean, do something!
The trend is this: we are busy communicating with people so far away from us but not engaging the people who are beside us, who are real in front of us.

It's not serious to some, maybe. But it's a dead serious problem to me.
And I haven't started writing on the computer games and console yet.
