Global warming - to save mother earth or us?

start thinking now...

Global warming, global warming...global warming

Often I see posters and campaign slogans would go on saying, save mother earth. I will not boring you with the effects of the global warming and what does it mean for our future eventually.

Ok, now let's go back to why I chose to write this post in the first place. The thing is planet earth has been around for billions of years, long before mankind come into existence. And as time went on and on, the advancement of human civilization took place bit by bit - first, we discover how to make fire, and then build proper homes, weapons, trading system and it went on and on until where we are today.

But as we advanced forward, we are also sacrificing our surrounding - just as Saruman needed to burned down the Fangorn forest to develop his armies of uruk-hai (kindly wiki if you're in the dark to what I'm saying here about Saruman).

So, the term global warming came about when mankind continuously developed their civilization aggressively and natural disasters kept occurring. At the same time, the planet's temperature kept on rising.

But

There's a reason WHY i was pointing out that the planet has been in existence for billions of years. Before that, various natural disasters have taken place including the meteor clashed with the planet that had cost the lives of the dinosaurs once upon a time.

What I'm trying to say, the slogan of save mother earth should not be that, but instead save our freaking lives!

When the planet is not a suitable place to live in anymore due to natural disasters that kept on knocking on our daily lives, who suffer the most? The planet - meh, still remain solid. But us? The breathing human? I doubt we can live underwater. Or survive frequent earth quakes.

And with no foods to eat as flora and fauna extinct and lessened in numbers, isn't that the more appropriate slogan?

Think again how each and everyone of us should view global warming from now on. Because the campaign and works to reverse (if possible) the global warming effect, it is to save us!

Think!
