There may be several “players” carrying along Players’ plot, but when it comes to their uber stylish look, there is just one among them who was largely responsible for it all. Apparently, Bipasha Basu insisted that her favourite stylist, Anaita Shroff Adajania, was roped in to create her look for the movie. But once Anaita came on board, she took over the styling for all the cast members.
An aide of the director duo said, “The professional alliance picked up steam when Bips suggested Anaita’s name for Race, and pointed out that having just one stylist would ensure that the film would have a consistent look. Abbas-Mustan agreed and Race was hailed for the extremely stylised look sported by all the actors.” With Players as well, a similar scene played out, although Bips plays down the incident, saying, “Yes, it was my suggestion originally to keep just one professional on board, but it wasn’t as if I was asking for any favours. Anaita is a respected fashion editor and I’ve known her since my modelling days.”
