What's in store for 2012?

It's 29th. 3 days before the New Year comes knocking on all our doors. So lads, are you excited already? Have you guys come up with the new year resolution already?I did write a post on the new year resolution, do read if you guys have the time (click here). It's a little bit different for this time around. Was trying to figure out ones that are more feasible and realistic.

Anyway, besides the point, where are you guys planning to have your new year celebration? What makes it funner is that - it's on A SATURDAY! couldn't hope for a better day, could we? Whether you're in Kuala Lumpur, Tokyo, Berlin or Madison Square Garden, we'll be seeing people with hopes on their faces and fireworks in the sky.

What I have in mind is I'd like to invite each and everyone of us to conclude the year with a bang! yes lads, a bang!

This year was the year of the revolution! And what a year it was, eh lads? But that's on a bigger scale, how about yourself this year? Have you revolted in any way in your life? Perhaps maybe you quit your job to pursue your life-long dreams, or perhaps you have ditched an annoying girlfriend and really search for someone your heart loves? Or perhaps you have participated as an activities in a particular movement? Now, that's revolution on your respective scales.

Or maybe, your head focused on 2012 instead. Perhaps you're very excited about graduating? or getting married? or your child is due? You see how beautiful life is - if we just take a moment to stop and count our blessings - what has the Lord done for each and everyone of us? Of course, if we'd go picking up the newspaper, we'll be seeing tragedy and disaster all the time. But why don't we start counting our blessings? I think that's more important. The fact that we ARE alive and live to see another day, live to see another year is a blessing by itself!

As for me, have I told you guys already that I'll be pursuing COBOL programming as my career now? I've quit Malaysiakini because of personal reasons, but have decided to pursue COBOL instead. I'm clueless and doesn't know quite what to expect, but at least I'm not in my comfort zone. So, let's see how I'll be doing in this exciting phase. :)

But in any case, 2011 has been somewhat, a year which I've learned many things about my real direction in life. Why?

  • I've quit my company which I have been with for 2 years. (The leech company)
  • I've graduated
  • I've stopped working on my own and decided to gain experience by working with others.
  • My grandmother died.
What about you guys? What's your side of the story? I'd love to hear about 'em. Why don't you share it in the comment section?

Until then, God bless and a Happy New Year!
